Local Installation

The instructions below will install the graphical user interface (GUI) version of HNN. For the command line version of HNN, click here. We recommend that all users begin with the local HNN installation. Should you run into issues with the installation procedure, please visit https://github.com/jonescompneurolab/hnn/issues and create a new issue so someone from our team can assist you.

 For those with a Brown University account, HNN also works on Brown's supercomputer, which is managed by the Center for Computation and Visualization (CCV). Please click here to get started.



[DEPRECATED] Docker Installation

In the case that the user needs to bypass the local installation method, HNN can also be installed using the HNN Docker container. Please note that we no longer actively support the Docker installation method.

Recent Model Updates

HNN team has been working to improve CA dynamics in the L5 PN in the cortical template model, and an updated version of the model using the improved calcium dynamics was included in recent publication. To use this updated model and reproduce figures in the paper, follow the instructions listed here.
